At the end of the 19th century (1885), an entrepreneur and loving man of the world of wines, Salvador Lopez Lopez, began with wines produced in his own cellars, the founding of a winery for the production and elaboration whose fame now extends around the world, as Malaga Wines. Nowadays, the family winery, with more than 140 years of experience, is being directed by the fourth generation and little by little entering the fifth. There are 35 wines currently produced, whose Malaga Virgen is the leading brand and product in the national market and Sol de Malaga internationally.

Bodegas Málaga Virgen offers three types of private visits that require prior reservation. These tours are led by the winery’s guide, who is a Certified Málaga Wine Educator. The visits include a welcome glass, an interpretive tour of the vineyard, a guided tour of the winery, and a tasting among the barrels, with a choice of three options:

We are located in Sayalonga, east of Malaga’s Axarquía, a region that enjoys a historic winemaking tradition. We are conditioned by a series of factors that mark our wines: proximity to the Mediterranean Sea, centuries-old high altitude vineyards and poor slate soils dotted with white quartz. If we add to this a benign climate for growing vines, the result is great wines. In all our preparations we try to reflect the uniqueness of our land and, to do so, we focus on working with native varieties, mainly Muscat of Alexandria and Romé.

Huerto de la Condesa is located within the old Heredad de Nuestra Señora de los Dolores estate, which owes its construction to the Countess of Guadalevín, Doña Carmen Ábela García (1849-1924), an important figure of the bourgeoisie of the city of Ronda. The Huerto de la Condesa vineyard is located in the valley of the Guadalcobacín River on sandy-clay soils, with good drainage capacity. The farm is crossed by a small stream that divides it in two, with its walnut trees, poplars, hawthorns, quinces and osiers.

We work with Mediterranean varieties, Garnacha and Syrah, perfectly adapted to the climate of Ronda. Thinning and green pruning are carried out every year in order to improve the quality of the clusters.

Huerto de la Condesa Winery and Vineyards offers various visit options, in which the visitor can immerse themselves in the winery, where they will live a wonderful experience observing and learning about the creation of our wines, enjoy our vineyards, located in a spectacular area from the Serranía de Ronda, and also taste our wines, which are the youngest in Ronda, but highly valued by those who try them.

La Capuchina Winery is located in the north of the province of Malaga, about 14 km from the municipality of Mollina. Surrounded by vineyards, olive groves and almond trees, it is located within the facilities of the century-old farmhouse that once belonged to the Order of Capuchin monks to whom it owes its name.
