Winery Dimobe
Description
Winery Antonio Muñoz Cabrera is located in the center of the town of Moclinejo, next to the Plaza de España. It is divided into 3 rooms where you can see how the way of making wine in Axarquía has evolved from 1927 to the present.
- Room 1, the Museum. It is a group of small rooms where wine was made in the first years of the winery. There we can find a 200-year-old press, an old winepress and a room full of tools used until 1950 in the winery. The oldest barrel in this room is recorded in 1845.
- Room 2, the cellar. It is the room where the wines were made in the second half of the last century, although these machines, such as the hydraulic capacha press, still work today and are essential in the production of muscat wines from sunny grapes.
- Room 3, press. It is the most current part of the winery, where the macerators and temperature-controlled steel tanks, the laboratory and one of the Zumbral aging rooms are located. This room is dominated by a large press from 1850 that gives it its name.
Experiences
From the winery we carry out wine tourism activities such as visits to the winery, the vineyards and the wineries, wine tastings and different events related to oenology.
